Meet Barry
Born in Blackpool, Lancashire, UK in November 1938
Barry emigrated to the US as an aerospace engineer in 1965. He worked as an aerodynamicist, a computer systems engineer a project manager and then as the Technical Director of the first USAF unmanned aircraft program in 1972. He was promoted to Vice President of Engineering in 1976 and President of the Astronics division of Lear Siegler in 1982 where he was responsible for a company with $100M in sales making computers, unmanned aircraft and support systems for the the USAF, Sweden, Israel and Taiwan.
In 1985 he became a corporate VP of LSI and then in 1987 he became President of BFM Aerospace Corp making subsystems for the US Nuclear Navy, the USAF and for numerous commercial airplane programs.
Barry left those businesses in 1994 to pursue his and Phyllis's interests through Sunrise Partners which led to the creation of Medox Corporation, a company dedicated to producing medical equipment and in 1997 to a winery, Chateau Felice making high quality Bourdeaux style wines.
In 1990 Barry also joined the board of Chapman University where he founded The Foundation for the Future (FftF) as a adjunct to Chapman's School of Economics.
Barry Left this endevour in 2004 to focus on the winery and is now re-inventing FftF to make the public more aware of the difficulties we humans will have to overcome as we continue to occupy this planet. You can reach Barry at barrysthoughts@gmail.com
